Please note:

Like wandering minstrels or magicians, portrait painting is a live performance guests enjoy watching. Unfortunately, with time restraints, larger events do not allow for each guest to go home with a portrait. Thus, Abby offers the optional post-event Queue at a reduced hourly rate* to complete any remaining portraits for client guests, working from her home studio. Please don’t hesitate to inquire about this service package.

ORDER OF EVENTS:

  • Guests send a digital photo to the Queue including contact info

  • Portrait work is prioritized based on position in the Queue (first come, first served)

  • Guests are notified by text when their portrait is dry and ready for pick up

  • A drying gallery exhibits completed work for guests to peruse and enjoy

the portrait:

  • Starting with a light graphite sketch, Abby follows with an archival ink over-drawing for definition and then brushes in richly-hued tones of watercolor to complete the portrait

  • A portrait generally takes about 15 minutes from start to finish while groups of two or more can take longer

  • Depending on Queue length, the artist reserves the right to delay group images of more than two persons in the interest of time and productivity

  • Each portrait is painted on 5” x 7” 140 lb archival watercolor paper and includes a protective envelope
